The TMS Test & Measurement division is seeking a self-motivated field sales representative with an entrepreneurial spirit. This “hunter” will be a creative professional who is able to function both autonomously and as a team member and who will contribute to the success of our organization. He/she will utilize a consultative sales approach to engage with engineers and management at customers in the Colorado area. The sales representative will identify customers’ “pain points”, identify solutions from our manufacturers to address those needs, and present those solutions to the customer to drive revenue growth. Job Description

 SALES ENGINEER, Electronic Test & Measurement Division, full time.  Field Sales Representative for part of the Colorado territory. Call on Government/Aerospace/Defense, commercial, semiconductor and other customers.  Penetrate and sell to new and under-penetrated accounts, understand customer demand, develop strategic customer sales/marketing plans. The responsibilities include:

  • Become proficient in selling Test & Measurement lines represented. Attend factory training and informal training sessions given by principals during field sales activity.
  • Develop a solid working relationship with all principals (Manufacturers) represented.
  • Become a “Team Member”. Work closely with the office support staff and other TMS Field Sales Engineers.
  • Represent the Company in a highly professional, ethical manner.
  • In summary, maximize Test & Measurement business while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.

Compensation

Compensation consists of a guaranteed salary in the first stages of employment. When experience provides income from the territory, the compensation consists of a draw and payment monthly on booked commissions from the territory. All expenses are paid, including connectivity (phone/internet) and a generous allowance for a Company car is provided as well as insurance. Benefits include Healthcare, Dental, Life and a 401k.

Desired Skills & Experience

Broad experience with Electronic Test & Measurement instrumentation and subsystems, RF/Microwave, general purpose, and system applications.  Strong interpersonal skills, good oral and written communication skills, computer knowledge, including MS Office and CRM.  An Electrical Engineering or other Engineering degree is desired but not required depending on experience. Minimum of 3 years industry/sales experience desired.  Previous Manufacturers Rep experience is a real advantage.
