6/17/2020 – Teledyne Lecroy Webinar: Part Two, Assessing Power Conversion System Performance – Using Power Analyzers and Oscilloscopes

Date: Wed, June 17, 2020
Time: 11AM Pacific | 2PM Eastern

Principles of De-embedding Webinar

High power (>1 kW), three-phase power conversion, and motor drives are everywhere - from large DC-DC converters to solar PV inverters, to motors and drives, including complex four-quadrant operation in a hybrid/electric vehicle propulsion system. Join us for this free two part webinar as we discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various instruments for debugging inverter subsections, embedded control/power systems, and the dynamic interaction between the power conversion/control system and the load.

Part Two will provide an extensive range of application examples from high-power DC-DC converter power analysis to complex drive power and control analysis involving coordinated complex control activities, variable-flux electric machine analysis, volt-second sensing analysis, dynamic loss calculations, and dynamic THD and harmonic analysis.

Part One provides an overview of various instruments, their best application use, how signals are acquired, the principles of static and dynamic power analysis, and application examples ranging from DC-AC inverter subsection dead-time analysis to basic static and dynamic power analysis of a simple motor drive. Click here to register.

Attendees will leave with a thorough understanding of the tools and methodologies for best practices and best instrumentation for various power conversion debug and validation.

Presenter: Ken Johnson, Director of Marketing, Product Architect Teledyne LeCroy
